How to Apply for A House

We have been building homes for deserving low- to moderate-income families in Garland County since 1995. Qualifying families participate in our Pathway to Homeownership program, which is typically a year-long process.

Families are selected through an application process, then Habitat builds the home and sells it to the family at cost. The family pays for the home with a 0% interest mortgage. Monthly mortgage payments do not exceed 30% of the gross income.

The 2025 Open Application Period will begin November 8th. Details will be announced in September.

Applicants must be residents of Garland County, Arkansas and meet income requirements.

All applications are evaluated based on three primary criteria:
  • Need for Housing
  • Willingness to Partner
  • Ability to Pay (Household income of 30%-60% of the area median income)
