How to Apply for A House

Families are selected through an application process, then Habitat builds the home and sells it to the family at cost. The family pays for the home with a 0% interest mortgage.  Monthly mortgage payments do not exceed 30% of the gross income.

Our annual open application period is traditionally held at the end of the year and begins with an Application Seminar. The seminar explains the requirements and process for that year. At the close of the application period, all applications are evaluated based on three primary criteria:
  • Need for Housing
  • Willingness to Partner
  • Ability to Pay (Household income of 30%-60% of AMI - click to view)
The 2021 Open Application Period ended on Thursday, December 16th at noon.

The 2022 Open Application Period will begin with the Annual Application Seminar on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 10:30 AM and will continue through Thursday, December 15, 2022 at noon.
